I know I should be outside by now spilting wood with the log spilter, but that thing scare the heck out of me. My husband was teaching me how to use it because we used to use an ax and wedge. His last words to me is "keep your head back or if a piece of wood could take your head off." Oh yea that makes me want to use it. LOL. So yes I'm procrastinating on going out there and instead I though I show you two of my favorite thing I've been collection. My husband had gotten him the year we moved into this house. He stands over 6ft tall (if you have seen a photo of my son. He nicely stood by the nutcracker for me.}Sorry about the wall behind him I'm still painting the living room. These are just a few of them.

Oh I can't forget this one {Grinch its my purse his eyes glow in the dark} and yes I know it's a big different from the 2 nutcracker photos, but I never said I was normal. Love the Grinch so nutcracker ballet inside and whoville outside.

First fantasy bird I've made

Hi, I thought I'd show you the first fantasy bird I've ever made back in April . I had made this one a long time ago, it's in a private collection now. I had called it Gothic Spring Fire and Ice bird. I had peeled the feathers off to get the curl affect. Now I'm working with fake water and feathers to make my next bird.

Ok I guess I need to give documentation on this bird.Please check out my 2nd etsy shop called blackraven1089 in the sold area back in april to see the birds listing. I had enjoy making him, but my hutches where selling good so I had to stop. If you have ready earlier blogs I use the money I make off my miniatures to pay for my son's medical bills. So one thing lead to another and I never was able to create anymore until now. I started to go through my sketch pad and I starting to put together some of the miniatures I wanted to create a long time ago.

I don't know about you, but it's kind of nice looking back at all the old drawing of things I've done and things I still need to do.

I was ask to help purchase gifts for all the children coming to the carpenter union Christmas party. I guess the guys don't like to do this.
Come on, you get a certain amount in a check and a number of children and you go to Toy R Us and you go by gifts for all the kids. How can that not be fun!!!

They couldn't believe I would like to do this; that they told my husband that I can do it for now on out.

They just don't know what fun is.

Hi, got home and almost started to cry, which if you knew me in person would surprise you. I had went to help someone with their etsy shop because they are way behind in orders. Well, while I was there I heard about several people talking behind my back. These are the kind of people I was told everyone look up to.
If you read my very first blogs you would know I wear dark sunglasses because I have light sensitive eyes. Well, long story short my brother in law had gone to the eye doctor and had surgery and he has to wear dark sunglasses for a couple of days. These suppose to be always nice people started making jokes at my expense. Example. What you trying to be a vampire like (insert my name here.) You know her and her husband coffin can't hold three people. By the way how does she not burst into flames every time she comes out of her house?? I finally come her jump on my shop site to check everything and see the nice new goody out there and someone has copied my work and put a cheaper price on it by only a couple of dollars.
But wait icing on the cake, I have to write a 2pgs Christmas article due on the 15th and you know how I feel right now. Like the Grinch.
I know I shouldn't be writting bad blogs like this, but it sad to say I have know one to talk to right now. I don't want to upset my husband because he likes these people too.
Any words of wisdom?????

Well, it's almost done, several blogs ago I talk about taking out a window. Well, here you go, now please understand my husband and I always take on the projects together. Well, this time we had to ask for a little help this time. The new window weight over 200lbs and I could only move it a couple of feet, so I demolished the old window and my husband built the new one. And yes, the hole was mostly window and the color of the house was the light what I call dust color. Now the next photos will show you what we change the window and color of the house too. Where still adding black trim to the house .

Lego Birthday Party

Evening everyone, well I survived my son's 11yr old Lego Birthday party. Between the legos I made and the legos I purchase off of craiglist we had way over 1000 legos. Now lego theme is kind of fun, but most of the decor I had to make, because store bought item as my son said "it too babish." So what does mom have to do, but make. Hi, everyone sorry I've been gone so long. I'm still saving for a computer, it may be one more month before I can afford a new one.

But I had to try and so you the starting of some of my Halloween miniatures. Since I can't get on the computer so much I've had a lot of time. So here one of them now, I've been watching a lot of horror movie lately so I'm sorry if this upset some of you, but a lot of people I've show just LOL, so hopfully you will too.

Tornado

Hi, everyone sorry I've been gone so long, computer trouble still. Well, my family was blessed once more. Two tornado touch down only a mile from my home head directly for it. We even had fire trucks out here with light going waiting for the worst, but then the tornado's ran out of steam and just went back up into the clouds.

Talk about hold your breath, but don't worries about us. My husband had an idea and we have a well in front of our house. And a cistern in the back of our house. So he knock a hole in the way to an all concrete room and secured it with metal I-beams. So we do have a place to go to, if they get any closer.

Porch roof is a little separated from the house, but other then that where OK.

Now if we can only get a roof out here to fix it. Called 5 so far, 3 set appointments and never shown. The other 2 showed and said they send estimates and now 3weeks later and no estimate. I knew we live out in the country, but I didn't know it was going to be this hard to get someone to work on our house. I guess that why my husband and I are doing almost everything ourselves.

So to all those that read this, hug your family members and be thank full for the day.

Sorry I haven't blog for a while, been so busy my husband and I have fallen a sleep on the couch a couple of times. So this blog is a little of everything from the 12x24 pool where putting in. If you know me we try to go reuse things. So I found someone that was selling this pool and we had talked him down to $300 for it. The sand a friend had on his property needing to get rid of it and the work is sweat equity. I tilled the area we need to put the pool for 5hrs straight. Needless to say I got heat exhaustion afterwards. My husband in the photo is taking the tiller and using it to help pulling off some of the top soil. So there will be some photos of my son and husband working. Once its finish I post those photos. There will be some photos of projects I've finished and listed today. I'm so proud at how the chest came out. Yes, I hand sculpted the flower and tree. Plus some photos of some roses bushes I got on clearance 2yrs ago, They where one single sticks and now, well you'll see the photos. I very proud of them.

It took awhile, but I finally finished it. I hope you like. I think the hardest part was making the skeleton coming out of the rock. The poylmer was so fragile and thin if took me a little to get it the way I wanted it.

Anniversary

Hi, my husband and I just celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary we keep saying "Is that it! Feels like 50th years LOL." Actually my husband and I have been together 18yrs. Married for 12th and we dated for 6yrs. He was the first guy I ask out. Now don't get me wrong my sisters set me up with other guys. Never seem to last very long though.

We say we are perfect for each other. I'm the very serious person, I hardly ever laugh sad isn't. It's so bad my husband said something that I actually laugh to and my son yells out, "are you OK mom," When I was a kid I had to grow up fast and learn to take on adult responsibility. So my husband taught me to laugh and I taught him the serious thing organization, fiancees. We're in separable; we could be sitting on the couch watching TV and still be happy just to be together. My husband is already talking about renewing our vows.

It was a nice Anniversary, we went to a marble factory and saw how they made marbles, by hand. Then bought some dinner and cook it together at home. Nice and quite just the way we like it.

I hope everyone finds their other half. The one that fills in the missing pieces of you.

What a Day

What a Day, my 10yr old woke up with head to toe poison Ivy rash. Yuk needless to say I got him ready to go to the doctors. He's ok, but I would of love to have video tape him taking the medications he has to take to get rid of it.. I was pre-warned by the doctor that the medicine was going to taste bad and to have some waiting to chase it down. Well as soon as I got it I gave it to him in the car. Try to picture it.My twin sister in the driver seat, I'm in the seat beside her and my son is right behind me. They gave me a syringe to give it to him. I hand it to him and then my sister starts to laugh so hard see has tears running down her face. Next thing I know I hear from the back and I quota, "Yuks, what sick person made this stuff." I started to laugh so hard I had tears running down my face.

You got to love kids.

The first year we bought the house I found the blocks in the yard and made them into a walk way because there was none when we bought the house. Now 5yrs later my husband told me he didn't like the rock so next year I have to tear the whole thing out. Pour concrete and stamp it with paver print and hope my flower survived.

I have kind of a weird request, due to budget cuts. The school my son now goes to is need more support. Well they collect Box Tops and I was wondering if you just throw them away could you hold them for me until the week of August 31,2010 and then mail them to me. I had wanted to show everyone what I had made for the swap on cdhm. Plus I was going to listed some extras I made next week. But guess what is being listed by others now. Kind of upsetting to see. I want to show more of my project while there in the midth of being made so I can show the steps, but now I afraid that my ideas will be copied. I mean should I look at it as out of the blue days after I had blog about my swap now dragon been hatch. Was a new idea for others. I know I shouldn't be like this, but it kind of up setting. Sorry I've Been Gone

Hi, everyone sorry I've been gone. I pulled my back out on Thursday. I could raise my arms above my waist. I'm still feeling the affects of it, my back keeps popping make it sore. But I'm able to do everything I need to do, but I just have to be very careful. I think the only thing that save me was my husband hadn't gone to work yet. The night before I felt a knot in the middle of my back and didn't think to much about it. Until the next morning and I went to pick up my 1 pound cat and couldn't stand up. I felt so bad because I hadn't even woken my son up yet for school. So try to picture this: My husband gets me to the sofa and wakes our son. Good thing we taught him how to cook, but I felt bad when my husband told him he had to make his own breakfast. So as he starts to cook eggs I stood up slow to get a plate and at least be in the kitchen with because my husband had to get to work. I couldn't lift the plate it hurt so much. I felt sooooo bad normally I get everything ready and to watch my 10yr old son do it; was bitter sweet. I hate not being able to take care of him like I always do, but to know he can take care of himself gave me such pride. He even ask me if he could get me anything. I've always wonder the morals we have been teaching him. Where they being heard by him, and the answer was YES.

I can say how proud of him I am .

You will Not Believe What I'm doing Read for a Good Laugh

My 10 yr old son came home on Monday stating they had wrote a story in class. Each child had to roll a dice 4 times to see what characters they had to put in there story. My son had gotten a lion tamer, princess (he was not happy about this one LOL) Alien and a sand storm. Now the parents have to help make shadow boxes with them. I knew I had this, a miniature artist helping her son out making a shadow box. The teacher was going to send supplies home to help the parents of course I said no need.

We grab a shoe box print photos of pyramids for the background, because it took place in a desert. We make a book because that is where the alien was captured. We made a tornado out of polymer and roll in crafting sand for the sand storm. Then he looks at me and said, " I need you to make the lion tamer out of polymer. By the way it's now Wed. night. "WHAT"

"Mom I have faith in you." With a big smile on his face.

"You may, but I don't this late at night."

The next morning I went to the store grab a bag of those $1 army men and now I'm adding polymer to him to take him from army to He-Man right now.

Boy, was I played.

Well for those that would like to read his story hear it is. I'm typing this the exact way it was written.

The Lion Tamer Hero

I am a sixteen year old muscular boy. I am a lion tamer and I am world famous. I am intelligent and talented. I am the best circus performer. I was born in Alaska, I perform at the top of the mountain.

One day, I found a book that can do anything. It was like magic. Once a spaceship crashed in the ground and an alien came out of the ship.I escaped the alien and destroyed them using the magic out of the book. It sucked the aliens into the book! I know I must keep this book out of the wrong hands, like people who would like to destroy the world. I have to hide the book in a place far away, where nobody will guess where it is.

I was on the plane to travel to Japan to hide the book underground. But we crashed and landed in the desert. The plane could not be repaired, so I was stuck in the desert. I walked and walked and walked until I reached a town and I met a mysterious princess. She didn't speak at all. She walked away and I walked away to explore the town to see what goes on in the town. After awhile a sand storm came and everybody went for shelter. Soon somebody pulled me inside their house before the storm hit. A Person started talking saying to be more careful. If the sandstorm would have hit me, I would be a goner.

Two days later the sandstorm is gone, now I run into the mysterious princess again. She spoke and said that if she could take a ride far away then we can be in a better place and live in a palace and be happy forever.

He glows in the dark!!!!

I've had a hard morning already and it was only 7am. My two cats decided to make sure I started to get gray hair today. I've been trying to teach my cats not to go across the road. Well, my 10yr old thought it would be funny to teach his cat Dawn to get on the school bus with him. Well right there should give you a clue of what this story is about. And yes, if you want to laugh go ahead. Well, my son gets on the bus, Dawn see him and runs towards the bus. I run after Dawn, bus takes off and truck comes barrelling down the road. I scream and dive for Dawn, truck misses Dawn by a foot. So I pick him up scolding him like a child. Telling him I'm going to by a baby crib for him if he want to be outside he would be put in that.

Thennnnnnnnnnnn I look up and my other cat (name Mischief for a reasons)decides to climb a tree a jump to the roof of my house. Well, she can jump on to the roof, but she can't get down. Now I'm grounding one cat and putting him in his room to go get another cat off the roof. While the dog is sitting and watching the whole thing wagging his tail. I knew he was laughing at me. Needless to say both cats are fine, I now have a few more gray hairs.

But I did finish him and wanted to see what you thought.

Gardening Time

I call it the witch's gardening

I had just gone out today to purchase my seed potatoes. My husband wanted 20, I wanted a lot less, but we ended up with 10. Which I thought was a compromise. Each potato can give us any where from 5 to 10 plants. Plus pea about 125 seeds, green beans about 100 seeds, onion 3 different kinds we have approx 400 sprouts. This is just the start.

Can anyone guess what I'm doing this weekend? LOL

This is just the start we've even talk about 18 pepper bushes,10 tomatoes plants. I heard raspberry bushes and blackberry bushes are coming my way. That without the 8 x 16 ft strawberry patch. Fruit salad anyone.

I know my husband wants some other items. So we can make home made salsa.

This is my first Miniature.(That I didn't create)

My husband and I have been on a very strick budget. I never could afford to buy anything for a collection. It's called the Dave Ramsey Plan. If you don't know him he comes on the radio Monday-Friday8am-11am 1440am channel. He teaches you how to pay off bills. Well, my husband and my goal is to pay off our house before he turns 50 which is in 10 years. So with the budget like Dave Ramsey saying goes: You live like no one else does so later you can live like no one else does.

So I always look, but didn't touch unless it was for my miniature business.

But I made a little extra and purchase a mad hatter hat.

It might be a while before I'm able to get some more miniatures to add to my collection, but for now I'm happy to be able to look at it and know I have my first miniature.

Hi, everyone sorry it's been a while since I last posted.

Spring fever has hit. So my husband and I are starting to purchase stuff to fix up the house. We had bought one of those homes "AS IS homes, we thought it needed just a little TLC." This year we have a window that is single pane. We're going to replace it in 2 days. That means this8x8 window once we take it out is going to leave us open to the world for a day or two. I live out in the country, greatest fear(waking up with a fuzzy skunk on my chess)My husband keeps teasing me about it.

Well, Sunday I saw an ad. for gravel. We like to go green when possible. It was wash gravel we just had to go pick it up our selves. AKA you shovel it into the bed of your truck by your self. So here we are my husband,son, and I shoveling 1 ton of Pea gravel for our flower beds. Plus let not stop there we really wanted to make ourselves hurt the next morning. My husband and I decide to go get a cored of wood for the fireplace.

Of course I look at my son, handed him his gameboy and he played while my husband and I load the one-ton truck. But where not done yet. We had purchase a pool last year (got a great deal from a person that kids out grew it)I'm a bargan person. Well long story short ran out of time last year to put it up so where trying for this year. We had to purchase a new liner in which we had gotten over $50 cheaper, the sand we thought we where going to have to purchase. A friend had 9tons said he'll just give it to us, But we have to go get. I think this is the year to get it up. You should see my son smile everytime I say something about the pool. I guess all the hard work is worth it.

Need Opinion

Hi, everyone I'm really needing some opinion on this.

There is a seller that copies my ideas.

I put out a stove, two days later they put a stove. I make a cake two days later they put a cake. I put out a bed two days later they put out a bed. Am I being petite. Maybe they need inspiration and seeing what I make gives them ideas, but I also try to be original.

I don't want to be mean about this, but please get your own ideas.

Am I looking at this wrong?

My sister told me to email the seller, but I'm one of those that stand in the back and keep quite. I don't know.

Tips and Tricks

Good evening everyone,

I have a tip for all of you that hate trying to peel off those UPC on the back of your project. Or if you need to take a lable off a box.

My mother -in-law told me about.

Take your hair dryer or if you are like me and don't own one. I grab my craft heat gun. Point it a couple of inches away from the UPC moving it around. After a few seconds the lable peels right off.

If you have a tip or trick to make life a little bit better please share with all of us.

Mourning

Hi, Today I went into mourning.

My son went to the salt mines in Kansas and brought home a huge rock of salt. I had stored it in my craft room for safe keeping.(It not suppose to be in sun light,moisture.etc) Well, long story short it fell from the top of my closet and hit a dresser I was going to work on.

It is all broken and I don't think there is anyway to repair it. It had some many Victorian details on it. I haven't been able to find another.

Oh it will be missed. I'm hoping my husband can take the pieces and help figure out what to do with them.

That way the dresser didn't die in vain.

Couldyou see himprotecting your home

With my orders, my son being sick and taking care of the house. I just needed a little time out. So I went to the window and there they where approx dozen large crows.

I've always wanted the strangest pets. Crow that sits on my shoulder as I walk around town. Black panther with a diamond collar to protect the house. I almost had a brown bat, but the said truth hit me. Call me weird it's ok. I not sure how to describe it, but the sound they make almost brought me to my knees. I had a headache all day long. (Long story short: My husband brought one home and into our kitchen. In a box, it was at his jobsite and he didn't want it to be kill. So he brought it home knowing I've always wanted one.) And last,but not lease a black wolf.

You could say I had my dog (wolf)and my cat(panther)

Snow, Snow , and more Snow

Hi, everyone has everyone gotten enough snow yet.

The photos I'm listing is shot of snow up by my garage, it's about 4ft deep and of my son's snow fort. Now the snow we just had gotten covered the fort and the snow drift we already had. I look at my husband and told him that I won't have to go on a diet this year. With all the shoveling where doing I won't need a diet. LOL.

If you can see it on the fort my husband layed a roof on it. After last night and this morning I see them redigging it out again. The whole thing is covered, but I do have to admit when you get a good run top. You slide quite a distance.

Christmas Morning

It findly happen!!!!!!!!!!

I had gotten up at 3am to put more firewood in the wood burning stove. So I was kind of already awake. I laid in bed and then I felt him. First I felt my son 2ft penguin get thrown on to the bed and then next his teddybear. Well, my bed is one of the tall ones (my son has to jump to get on the bed) Well, he jumps up and then the penguin falls down. He get down get the penguin and jumps back on the bed and then the teddybear falls down. So he gets back down and then I feel the bear shoved on the bed. He jumps up again. This goes on at lease 4time; I had to stop from laughting because this was his big moment. (I'm so glad I was a wake for it) Next thing I know I here mom, dad wake up. Yes, I pretended that I was asleep. "What honey, whats wrong."

"Santa came!!!!!" He said it, he said it at that moment I knew I would never forget that morning 4am when my son came in to tell me Santa came to our house.

So I hope this Christmas you made that memory that is forever lock away in your heart. Like the one my son gave me. He gave me a gift that would be with me forever.

Good evening everyone, well Christmas is almost here.

Anyone ready for it?

I guess you could say I can't wait for it. Probably not for what your thing. Its not for the gifts, or the loud family reunion,or even all the food. I guess I'm looking forward to when my 10year son wakes up and come to tell us Santa has come.

I've waited 10 years for this moment.

Some parents are lucky because they have already gone through it several times, but I'm still waiting. I have hope this year that this is the year, it will happen. A very special memory I will treasure for ever.

My son in the beginning didn't believe in Santa. It wasn't from my husband or I. We decorate our house as the Whoville outside and the nutcracker ballet on the inside. We drive to see the christmas lights and make christmas basket for the neighbors. I set out the Christmas cookies and milk.

My son has had it hard, the first school he ever went to made him believe being ADHD was bad. So ever year he would wait in his room for me to get him on Christmas. We would walk into the living room he would refuse to look at the tree afraid he would not get anything because he was bad (because of being ADHD). One of the reasons we had pulled him from the public school for 4yrs. I've work with him in those years and now he's believing. He ask if the roof on the house need any work. That way Santa doesn't fall through and wake him. Or what if he can't sleep will he still get gifts. (We told him the Sandman comes and sprinkles sand to make him sleep before Santa comes.

So now this is our year to get a memory I will treasure into my gray hair years.

So I say to all you that have had this special memory treasure it because one day the belief of Santa will fade and your child will be to old to jump on your bed because Santa had come.

Have a very Happy Holiday.

And

Make many wonderful Memories that you keep in your heart forever.

Sorry about not blogging for a while, but everytime I try to bring up my blogspot it would lock my computer up. I have so many photos to show you. I had some minatures go to Paris and Brazil this week. There was quite a few miniature going off my shelf, which is fine by me. Bill where piling up on me.
Big new my son went back to public school and he loving it. For those of you that don't know my son had a very bad time in Kindergarden. That I had to quit my job and home school him, it took 3yrs, but I had gotten him back to his old self. Well, we talk for a while and he wanted to try it again. No, he didn't go back to the same school, but we found one that was willing to work with us. My son is ADHD, there are many day and night where he seems to be on a sugar high (he could be up at 3am sleep for 2hrs and keep going like he on sugar.)Which meant mom was up with him and believe me there is not enough coffee in the world when that happens, but I love him. I've been told I have adjust me life to fit his perfectly.
I'm glad he went back, but know the house seems quite. I mean I was with him for 3yrs 24hrs a day 7 days a week. I'm been strong my family thought I would break down crying, but what really warms my heart. Is too hear how he has friends that want to sleep over. Funny thing is he has one friend that wants to move in. LOL.
Well, enough of that I hope everyone has had wonderful holidays and I will be getting the photos up really soon.

Hi, everyone sorry I haven't put any Halloween treats up for you. My son b-day was this weekend; he wanted a Lu-out. Most of the decor. was home made so I had a lot of work, but that how my son like it. I started making alot of his party items because he would pick theme that there was hardly any decor. out there for. One of my favorite is the Skateboarding/Carnival theme. So many people wanted to know how I was going to pull that off. Well, it was easy!!!! Instead of pin the tale on the donkey I change it to place the wheels on the skateboard. I made the skate board out of felt and wheels too. Then added Velcro to it. He also had a b-day he wanted all his favorite color. Well, I've type this blog in his favorite colors.

I made brownee with white frosting and blue/green m&m's. Everything was done in his color. Truly I can't wait to hear about his next theme.

New Saying and tutorials

Hi, I just had to bring this topic up. I just now realized how old I am; when the kids are talking and some of the things their saying I don't understand. Here are a couple of them (with there definitions) I had my husband laughing when I said them to him.

Which means (takes a lot of things mix together for the outcome)

Now onto some Tutorials

Flower pot

paints:brown, green, copper

moss or fine grass

glue optional

Aging flower pots. This would be good for dollhouse or even your home.

Pick a flower pot you want to age (me I like to use a clay pot)

Now paint the flower pot using brown, copper, or green. Sometimes I will make a black flower pot and then age it. You can see that on the Eyeball flower blog I wrote. The affect of aging the flower pot looks best when you use brown and green. Then while the paint is still wet. Use some moss or fine grass (you get it from the train section of a hobby store) roll you flower pot in the moss/fine grass. Add as much as you like or as little doesn't matter. Now on the moss you might have to add a little glue on the back side to help hold it down.

I'm going to start doing a Halloween count down. So invite some friends to visit my blogspot for some great ideas to decorate. From home, crafting,and food. If you have that you would like to share please do so.

To start out how about making your favorite cupcakes. Frost them and add cottoncandy on top (for spiderwebs). Then either a chocolate spider, gummy spider or even a plastic spider.

How cool is this simple plus you'll be the talk of the town.

How about this.

Mask Cookies

At low speed beat cookie dough,cocoa and flour until combined; divide into two pieces. Between sheets of wax paper roll out dough, one piece at a time, to scant 1/4" thickness. Stack on baking sheet: freeze until firm, 15-20minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper, Remove top sheet of wax paper from dough. Using a mask template or make it up as you go. cut out 10 cookies, rerolling scraps and chilling as necessary. Transfer cookies from wax paper to baking sheets, laying centers over lollipops sticks. lightly press onto sticks. Bake 10-11 minutes or until crisp. Cool on racks, 10 minutes. Remove from pans; coll completely on racks. At low speed beat meringue powder with 6Tbs. water. Beat in sugar, Increase speed to high; beat until stiff and glossy, 3 minutes. Divide and tint with food coloring. Transfer icing to plastic food storage bags with one corner snipped off; pipe onto cookies. Here comes the fun part!!!!

Sprinkle with sugar crystals and glitter.

1pkg 18oz refrigerated sugar cookie dough

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

10 (6'') lollipop sticks (not plastic)

3Tbs meringue powder (Wilton's product have it)

1 (16oz)confectioners' sugar

Assorted food coloring, decorating sugar crystals and edible glitter.

I hope you enjoy.

Hi, I had received this from my mother-in-law and wanted to share it with everyone. Enjoy.

Mayonnaise Jar & Two Beers....
When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 Beers.
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full.. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'
The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.. 'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things---your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favourite passions---and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car. The sand is everything else---the small stuff. 'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.
If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness..
Spend time with your children.
Spend time with your parents.
Visit with grandparents.
Take your spouse out to dinner.
Play another 18..
There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand. One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, 'I'm glad you asked.' The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.Please share this with someone you care about. I JUST DID!

Hi, here are the photo of the kitten we just adopted. The second photo is of our puppy, well not really a puppy. We had adopted him about 2yrs ago. He was thrown on to our property and lets just say the last family wasn't so nice to him. But I had work with him, now he's my little shadow everywhere I go he's right behind me. His name is Chrystalis because of his clear blue eyes.

Crafters block It as bad if not worst then writer block

Hi, I need to vent a little and who would know better about what I'm talking about then other crafters too.

I had a dollhouse hutch get smashed at the post office. (The buyer and I are fine we have everything work out).

I think when I got the hutch back something in me started to mourn the lost. I know some of you might think that weird, but think about it. How many hours did it take to create a piece of art. Didn't you put your heart in to the piece you created. Well the miniature had over 20 polymer roses that there petals where paper thin and vines growing up the hutch. Things that where glue down so tight that there is still big residue left from the glue has been pulled from the hutch. Hey, but the box and foam that sealed the hutch are all in perfect condition.

I think at that moment I lost creativity.

What a horrible moment for several days I couldn't even look at my craftroom. It was killing me.

I just now have slowly started up again and you know what had done it for me. 2 kittens found there way to our house. Abanden of course,scare and straved, but if you knew my family our we took them in.

We were told by someone there is a reason you where put on this earth. Ours we figure out is : We will take your abanden,broken,abused, and love them.

Have you found out what your is?

Well, for the past couple of days I've been help taken care of these kitten. They are tiny (with out the tail 1 about 6'' he has a bad paw he can't walk on, but he manages and the other is smaller. He much more timet and the bigger watches out for him.) But now their starting to trust us.

I guess I need something else to show me the light again and thanks to these 2 little kittens my creativity is back. I'll have a photo so you can see them. One is orange and white with gray as the center part of his eyes, but with an outline of blue. The other is gray with an orange patch on the top of her head.

When you watch them you can't help,but smile at them.

Tornado

I've lived in my home for 5 years now and have had a tornado come close to knocking on my front door at least 3 times now. The first one my husband and I where grill stuff green pepper with tomatos sauce, it was dark out side nothing to bother us. Then it started to rain, but where still grilling. People start to drive down the dirt road looking at us where. Next we see news vans fling by and then the phone starts to ring. We found out the tornado was directly 5 miles from our house. Nothing happen, the winds pick up the rain came down hard and then sun shine. The funny part of the whole thing was that was the best stuff green peppers we had. LOL
Second time we were sleeping luck my son was over at grandma's house. All of a sudden wind hit are winds, there was a high pitch sound. My husband yell at me to get away from all winds, I thought the windows where all going to blow out and then it was gone. From what we were told there was a tornado close to our home.
Third time my parents had showed up. We need the weather seem wrong; the clouds where very low. All of a sudden the house phone starts to ring, cell phones are going off. A mile away from our house it is pouring down rain, cars are being pushed off the road. Hail is coming down size of golf balls, but not a drop at our house. We live on a hill and can see the town over (which is approx. 6-7miles away) there is pitch black clouds over the town. All around us the cloud where not looking right. My husband which never painics is running in to see the news and running back out side to see the cloud. You have to understand where we live unless the wind hits a certain way we don't hear tornado sirens. So how do we keep track, look to the sky! The third time happen this year.
Long story short the tornado started above our house.
Next time I will take photos so I can show a tornado up close.
Oh, I should add don't where about us. We have a all concrete storm shelter. The things you become use to.
So tell me about something you become use to where you live.

Homeschooling my son Today

Good evening, tonight I don't know if I'll be able to show a photo of some of my work. I spent most of the day homeschooling my son. He just started 4th grade,boy how has the time flies. Now I'm looking around and wondering when I got to my parent's stage. I should be still dating my husband, not marry for 17yrs.

Well, we received the books for his classes.(We go through a program that it's public school, but I teach him at home)

I now think I can win ARE YOU SMARTER THEN A 5TH GRADER. LOL

Oh wait, where only in the 4th grade right now, maybe not.

I'm mean we started doing algebra in the 2nd grade. Pushing alittle!

Some of the things he's learning I remember in High school. Does this mean I'm getting old. Oh, well bring on the gray hair. I'm one that would not dye it, I believe it's your badge of honor.

I know I'm a little strange, but I believe the normal people are in the asylum and the abnormal are running the world. LOL
